First Time on a Quad? You're in Good Company
Over 70% of our guests have never ridden a quad bike before their Agadir trip. The good news? Quad biking is one of the easiest motorized activities to learn. If you can ride a bicycle, you can ride a quad.
What Happens on the Day
1. Arrival and Check-In
Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure. You'll be fitted with a helmet and goggles, and given a brief safety overview.
2. Training Session
Before you ride, your guide will teach you the basics:
- How to start and stop the quad
- How to steer (it's intuitive — just like a bicycle)
- How to use the throttle smoothly
- Basic safety rules
This takes about 10–15 minutes. By the end, you'll feel confident.
3. The Ride
You'll follow your guide in single file at a comfortable pace. The guide adjusts speed for the least experienced rider. You'll stop at viewpoints for photos and rest.
4. Return
The guide leads you back to base. Total time: 2 hours (including training and stops).
Common First-Timer Concerns
"I'll crash into something"
The quads we use are automatic and stable. They don't tip easily, and you'll be riding on open terrain with no traffic. Your guide is always nearby.
"I'm not strong enough"
Quads are surprisingly light to steer. You don't need upper body strength — just gentle input on the handlebars.
"The terrain looks scary"
The beginner-friendly routes avoid the most technical sections. You'll ride on sandy trails and gentle slopes, not steep cliffs.
Tips for Your First Quad Ride
- Relax: Tension makes steering harder. Keep a loose grip.
- Look ahead: Don't stare at the ground in front of you. Look where you want to go.
- Go slow at first: Speed comes naturally. Start at a comfortable pace.
- Trust your guide: They've done this thousands of times.
- Bring water: The desert is dry. Stay hydrated.
